General Principles & Goals

  • Community Identity: Strengthening our collective sense of belonging, heritage, and school pride across all year groups.
  • Professional Expectations: Preparing our students for the presentation and grooming standards expected in their future professional lives post-KGV.
  • Inclusivity & Social Justice: Providing equitable, gender-neutral dress uniform options that comfortably accommodate our diverse student body and ensure access for all families.
  • Climate & Comfort: Tailoring uniform expectations dynamically to the climate of Hong Kong and the high-movement physical demands of a busy school day.
  • School Environmental Safety: Robust, protective uniform requirements to guarantee maximum safety while students navigate busy campus corridors or engage in hands-on work within science laboratories and design workshops.

2. Year Group Specific Standards

🟦 Years 7–9 (MYP)

PE Kit: Students in Years 7–9 may wear their full PE kit for the entire school day exclusively on days when they have a scheduled, timetabled PE lesson. If Science or DT lessons are scheduled on the day, appropriate sturdy, solid-black shoes with fully enclosed uppers must be worn in those lessons.

Students who have their Drama lesson on the same day as a PE lesson must bring their Drama Kit and change into it for Drama.
